Early meetings of a handful of Egyptian/Arabic speaking group of Presbyterian background goes back about 25 years. The congregation moved to a rented church facilities in North Strathfield 1997.
Rev Hamdy Awad became the minister of the church during 1993 which marks the beginning of a blessed stage of stability and growth. The congregation joined the Presbyterian Church of Australia in the State of New South Wales during 1997.
- The congregation purchased and moved to its present facilities in Merrylands during 1998.
- The church has two distinct congregations (Arabic and English) under one Session and one Committee of Management.
- The church has services in Arabic and English, at present they are running concurrently.
At the present time the church has a senior minister, an assistant minister and two assistants to the ministers (one for each of the Arabic and English congregations).
